How to create a clutter-free study zone for kids at home

pinterest pin- homeschool.jpg

Homeschooling is challenging for every parent and if you're working as well, the last thing you want to deal with is clutter! Often books and school supplies create a storage challenge. In this blog, we will talk about how to end homeschool clutter by exiting furniture and also adding furniture depending on your needs. If you are balancing working from home while schooling your children, try creating a shared workspace. That way you are not doubling up on resources and space.

Using dining table as desks

BLOG IMAGE-2.jpg

When your kids are using the dining table as a desk, it can be a chaotic mess with no dedicated space for all the books and school supplies. The solution in this case would be having a dedicated bookcase or a cabinet with deep drawers.

Cabinet and drawer organizers

If you have a big kitchen with lots of cabinets, another option could be to use upper and lower cabinets for storing supplies in storage boxes and file folders as well. Also, you can store small supplies in a dedicated drawer.

Rolling cart

If you have limited storage space, another option could be to use a rolling cart to stock school supplies. This can be an added advantage for flexibility, kids can even wheel it and use it in their room.

Remodeling options-  banquette  storage

If you are thinking of remodeling, adding a banquette seating will definitely provide added hidden storage under the seating area.

Workstation in kitchens

If you have extra open space in your kitchen why not create a workstation with storage for your kids. It will also eliminate the clearing of study materials from the dining table when it's dinner time.

Lastly, begin to train your kids for sorting, organizing, and cleaning up their own school supplies. Another tip is to sit down with your kids and make a list of chores they are capable of doing. This will teach them to not only be organized but also be responsible which will help them maintain mental sanity!
