ROOM MEASURING GUIDE

Tools needed for measuring your space:

  1. Graph paper or white paper

  2. Ruler

  3. Pencil and eraser or pen

  4. Tape measure

Furniture items to stay:

Measurements (width, depth, height) and photos of each piece of furniture you’d like to incorporate in the space.

How to draw a floor plan:

  1. Draw a basic room sketch.

  2. Add full wall dimensions on the outside of the drawing.

  3. Dimensions within the drawing detail more specific measurements between door/walls. For example: measure to the opening of doors and windows, then add trim later. Note trim width and ceiling height on the drawing on the top right or bottom right corner.

  4. Make a note of trim size and ceiling height
