ROOM MEASURING GUIDE
Tools needed for measuring your space:
Graph paper or white paper
Ruler
Pencil and eraser or pen
Tape measure
Furniture items to stay:
Measurements (width, depth, height) and photos of each piece of furniture you’d like to incorporate in the space.
How to draw a floor plan:
Draw a basic room sketch.
Add full wall dimensions on the outside of the drawing.
Dimensions within the drawing detail more specific measurements between door/walls. For example: measure to the opening of doors and windows, then add trim later. Note trim width and ceiling height on the drawing on the top right or bottom right corner.
Make a note of trim size and ceiling height
